GUATEMALA UPDATE

The William Cornelius Vocational Training Center was dedicated on 1/13/07.   For 3 years NWM posted opportunities for teams to be a part of this work, but to no avail.  However, NWM contributors were able to help through several financial donations.  Just think of what God is going to do through this training center and we had a little part.

Although the vocational center is now open, there are still ways that a team can help.  Also, they are looking for people who would like to sponsor a student.

Let me know if you would like to help in some way.

ACTIVITY UPDATE:

January started off with excitement and an expectation that this will be a good year for ministry through New Way Missions.   The 2007 projects and locations have been posted on our web site.  Peru and Trinidad have been added to the countries where NWM has partnering ministries set up.  If the language barrier seems a little intimidating, then Trinidad may be a good place to serve since English is their main language.

On Jan. 8, we furnished some beans and rice, as well as, several boxes of fruit from our yard for the Good Samaritan Mission in Balm, FL.   They distribute food to the needy, with a special focus towards the migrant workers.

Diane Sabado stayed with us for over a week in Jan.  She was the spokes person for NWM at a Hispanic Immersion Seminar with a mission focus on Jan. 27. in Tallahassee, FL.  She and I were very excited to be a part to the beginning of a much needed ministry.  This seminar was organized by Shelley Bayless of Agape Language Center.  Praise God that we could be a part of this seminar.  Dan Nase of Harvest of Life also spoke.  Dan has an awesome prison ministry.

In February, I was busy with helping in the clothes closet at our church, helping a new medical ministry, Hearts Afire, in Bradenton, FL, and the annual NWM Board of Directors Meeting.

In March, preparations started for my ministry trip to MX.    Once again, I plan to drive down and take the supplies which have been collected.  Many hours are spent with sorting, washing, and packing these supplies.  Also, I hope to visit Pastor Jack Driscoll of Mission Mexico in San Miguel Allende to see first hand the work they are doing.  We will then be able to evaluate the benefit of a partnership of our 2 ministries for the work of the kingdom.
